Frances Chieko Nagai Kama, 77, died March 16 at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Honolulu, she graduated from the Kamehameha Schools Class of 1954. She worked as a book binder at the Kamehameha Schools Print Shop and Hawaii Library Binding for over 25 years. She retired in 1984 and left for the Big Island where she and her husband resided for 30 years. She was a lifetime member of the Hale o Na Ali’i, Honolulu Chapter. A Memorial Service/ Celebration of Her Life will be held on April 26 at Kaumakapili Church in Honolulu. Visitation from 9-10:45 a.m. Services at 10:45 a.m. to noon. Aloha attire. Scattering of her ashes at a later date. Survived by son Eric H. (Vivian) Kama Jr. of Salem, Ore.; daughters Milli Kama of Pahoa and Alice “Nani” (James) Santee of Houston; sister Alice N. Mau of Honolulu; four grandchildren, Erin (Mike) Budke and Deric Kama of Salem, Ore., Jamie Santee of Houston, Emmalani Kama of Honolulu; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
